We aim to make our returns process as straightforward as possible. If you need to cancel an order, refunds are issued based on the following criteria:
- The 14-Day Statutory Cooling-Off Period
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you are entitled to a full refund if you cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your kit.
- Condition for Full Refund: To receive a full refund, the kit must be returned unused, complete, and in a re-saleable condition at the expense of the customer.
- Handling of Goods: If the kit or its internal components (such as lancets, vials, or swabs) have been used, handled excessively, or damaged, we reserve the right to reduce your refund to reflect the diminished value of the goods.
- Tiered Refund Policy (After 14 Days)
If you decide to cancel after the statutory 14-day period has passed, we offer the following sliding scale of refunds based on the date of payment:
- 15 – 45 Days: 50% refund of the test cost.
- 46 – 60 Days: 30% refund of the test cost.
- 60+ Days: Orders are deemed null and void; no refunds are available.
- Damaged or Unusable Returns
If a kit is returned to us damaged, incomplete, or in a condition that prevents re-sale (outside of the statutory 14-day period), an admin and replacement fee of £30 will be deducted from your final refund amount.
- Processing Your Refund
- Refunds will be issued to the original payer (either the Practitioner or the Patient) via the original payment method.
- Please ensure the kit is returned in the original packaging.

Results are typically available within 10 working days of the laboratory receiving the sample.
You should receive two emails during the process:
- Sample received: Confirmation that the laboratory has received your sample.
- Results ready: An invitation to log in to the patient portal and view your results.
We frequently receive samples that are incomplete or insufficient for testing, which means a repeat sample is required. To help avoid delays and ensure the process is as smooth as possible, please ensure your patient returns a fully completed sample card.
Please note that an inadequate sample requiring a redraw will incur a £15 redraw fee.
All results will be uploaded to our Practitioner Results Portal. Once your initial results are available, you will receive an email containing a link to the portal along with your username and password. You can access results from within your portal where you can view and download results
If you have not received your username and password, or if you encounter any issues, please contact us directly at ukoffice@kbmodiagnostics.com
Here’s how the Gut Barrier Retest works:
- Eligibility: Any patient who has previously completed a FIT Test is eligible for a retest
- Requisition Requirement: The patient’s accession number must be included on the requisition form which can be found on a patient’s previous FIT test report
It’s very important that you send a sample back with a corresponding requisition form or the lab will not be able to process the sample.
You can get this from your dashboard.
- Navigate to the ‘Use a test you hold in stock’ section on the ordering page
- Select the specific test you are issuing
- Complete the short online form with your patient’s details
- Receive Your Form: The requisition form will be emailed to you immediately
- Final Step: Simply complete the ‘Date of Collection’ field on the printed form and return it with the sample
Practitioners can book a support call via their dashboard or contact us for assistance.
We have a WhatsApp group as well so that you can ask quick questions. If you would like to join, you can do that here:
